What Exactly is a HIIT Stretcher? To understand a few key concepts, we need to go back in time to the first time I heard the word and muscle builder. "There's nothing like a good workout to get fat off of!" (The late, great Gary Vee) This quote was from the late, great Gary Vee, and was one of the first times I heard the word "stretching". Since then I've been on a strict HIIT (high intensity interval training) for the past 15 years. I know the acronym HIIT (high intensity interval training) as I've done a ton of it. Not only is it an acronym that signifies intensity, but it refers to a series of "intensity" phases. To illustrate, let's look at what a typical, average bodybuilder training phase will look like. Here's the typical bodybuilder's training schedule: Monday: Biceps and Triceps. Tuesday: Chest, Back, and Shoulders. Repeat 3 times (or whatever sets you feel comfortable with). Thursday: Back and Legs. Friday: Back and Arms (exhaust the legs and biceps as necessary). Repeat 3 times. Saturday: Abs (with any cardio). The training session would be performed for 15-30 minutes, and you'd do three circuits: Biceps (each exercise separated from the next) Triceps (with one workout each day) Chest/Back (repeat until fatigued) Abs (repeat the workout until fatigued). I've always felt this "body building" training schedule to be a little overly complicated and difficult, but if you do it hard and fast you'll gain a ton of muscle over time!
